A fracture may occur after a fall or with relatively little force when bone strength is reduced. People with sarcoidosis should report new severe bone pain, deformity or loss of function promptly. Medical assessment can confirm the injury and review possible contributors such as osteoporosis or medicines. Do not ignore persistent pain or assume it is only a sarcoidosis flare.
