Myopathy is a disorder affecting muscle structure or function. In sarcoidosis, muscle involvement may cause weakness, pain or reduced endurance, although medicines and other conditions can cause similar symptoms. Assessment may include strength testing, blood tests, imaging or specialist review. Report new progressive weakness, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or problems rising and walking.
