Jede Veröffentlichung hebt hervor, was untersucht wurde, zu welchen Schlussfolgerungen die Autoren kamen, welche wesentlichen Einschränkungen die Ergebnisse haben und wo die Originalquelle zu finden ist. SARCOIDOMICS: European network for sarcoidosis research

The ERS research network SARCOIDOMICS brings together European centers to improve understanding of sarcoidosis and the risk factors for a more severe disease course. The project promotes coordinated collection of clinical data, imaging findings, and biological samples, as well as connections between researchers from different countries.

Namilumab for pulmonary sarcoidosis: the trial showed no clinical benefit

The phase II RESOLVE-Lung trial evaluated namilumab in people with active pulmonary sarcoidosis. The trial included 107 participants. Namilumab did not provide a clinical benefit compared with placebo; a key outcome related to the need for additional treatment occurred in 37.5% of participants in the namilumab group and 23.5% in the placebo group.

WASOG position paper: a more thoughtful use of corticosteroids

WASOG, with support from AASOG, has published a position paper on a more thoughtful use of oral corticosteroids in sarcoidosis. These medicines can quickly reduce inflammation, but long-term use can cause significant side effects. The authors advocate assessing benefits and risks for each patient and considering steroid-sparing strategies when medically appropriate.
